Watering: The episodes are watered sparingly during growth and flowering. In winter, watering is careful and more rare, the soil should have time to dry well.

Fertilizers: Top dressing starts from about April to early August, weekly. Special fertilizers are used for flowering indoor plants.

Air humidity: Episodes require very high air humidity. The pots of these plants are placed on a pallet of wet pebbles and are regularly sprayed.

The soil should have a slightly acidic or neutral reaction, pH = 5.5 - 6.5. The soil mixture consists of 2 parts of leafy land, 1 part of peat (or greenhouse land) and 1 part of river sand, sphagnum moss and pieces of charcoal. You can also use commercial mixtures "Violet" and the like. Provide good drainage and large drain holes in the bottom of the pot.
